#InstaGameStrong

This is the first official insta of the month! I'm going keep this one small town and close to my heart. So let's throw it back to how I discovered this simplistic, elegant and delicious instagram feed.

It all began at an event in Victoria we like to call BEER FEST! Every summer in August, local micro and macro breweries conglomerate on a baseball field downtown, pitch tents and sample beer. One of the best parts are the little sampling beer glasses you get at the event that are attached to a lanyard. Anything mini and I freak out due to cuteness. The spectrum of flavours is crazy! I tried blackberry beers, green tea beers, gluten free beers (how trendy), nasty beers, warm beers, average beers, delicious beers and then 33 Acre's beers. What a treat to the pallet that was. Out of the 100's of beer I tried, 33 Acres beer caught my attention. Not only because it tasted crisp and refreshing but their branding was on point.

The logo is what really caught my eye because it just so happens to be exactly to my design-ascetic. Crisp, clean lines, simplistic and modern with a vintage font. (That photo isn't their usual logo but this growler was too cute not to post)

33 Acre's was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and truly embodies the Vancouver vibe. They are a local micro brewery that is all about quality, community, craft and simplicity. A lot of companies have been leaning towards this trend in recent years, getting away from mass marketing and focusing on customer intimacy. 33 Acre's does just that! Bringing people together around quality beer and food while creating lasting memories; nothing is more intimate than that. Not to mention, they also have a food truck!

In one word I would describe their instagram as - simplistic. Less is more and less is more intimate. The perfect balance of white space and exposure. Also, the pictures truly represent the companies branding. It wouldn't make sense for them to have overly busy and colourful photos so it makes sense that they use natural colours, lighting and products to enhance their products. Having that cohesion between a companies social media personality and aesthetics, effects how the viewer will feel and see their products.

What I have learned from 33 Acre's instagram is the importance of brand cohesion between design aesthetics and how the brands personality should be reflected in that.

This company is the definition of the word 'cool'. Check out their website HERE to learn more about 33 Acre's Brewing or their instagram HERE!

Cheers,
Kates
